When I entered my office building this morning, I noticed a sizeable crack in the concrete steps. I could have caught my heels on it and had a tumble. The crack, for sure, constituted a real vulnerability! It’s easy to notice vulnerabilities like the crack, but your job is to be on the lookout for less vulnerabilities that can be less obvious. People can be vulnerable to a pandemic. Your building might be vulnerable to an earthquake. In thinking about such things, does your organization stopped to consider all the things it might be vulnerable to – – and, if so, have you made a plan. You certainly won’t notice very vulnerability in people, places and things, but making an effort to consider this will definitely make you better prepared to deal with Business Unusual!
